A Brief History
Already a master sculptor with his own business in the guise of Varner Studios, it was from the imagination of a 15 year old boy that the Bleeding Edge Goths were born.
Steve Varner’s son actually; into the rock, metal scene and mindful of the punk gothic look that he was in the midst of, suggested that it might be a cool new era for sculpting and doll-making. How right he was. As the Bleeding Edge site says “a vision danced before Varner’s eyes” and she became Storm (O. Misery) the first in the series of dolls and with her came Lillian, Malice, Raven and Sinstress - Series One.
Not putting sculpting skills/ideas aside, Series One figures emerged, bringing you Wormwood, Belladonna, Dagger and Morbida - all these characters bore the pierced, booted guise of the modern Goth/Punk and with each successive series, that image has coalesced but also like a circle, these creations have imitated the scene and the scene has reflected the look right back at them, even borrowing new ideas from them!
All Bleeding Edge fans have their favourites but one character still stands out from all the others and she is Storm—in each series she is recreated. Series 4 saw her at her most Gothic, Series 5 she took on the guise of wolf tempting Little Red Riding Hood, Series 6 saw a Slayer born…who knows what she will be next?!
Gothic Desires wants to help spread this little Goth army around the globe, we are that enamoured by the look, vitality and life these dolls and figures exude. We hope to help Bleeding Edge gain new fans and retain those they have thrilled already.

We stock each new series as it becomes available: both 12” and 7” dolls and figures with access to Begoths Crypt Club Exclusives and have previously stocked plushes but as time goes on it gets harder to source earlier designs.
